I know I've mentioned it as a great place for a shady walk before, but now is the time of year to go to
Bradfield Woods. So yesterday we made another visit. The spring flowers are out in abundance and the trees are alive with the sound of birdsong (yes we heard the chiff-chaffs). There are Early Purple Orchids...
...and whole swathes of Ramsons.
The sunshine drew out a lovely fresh-wood fragrance from the piles of timber...
and there were masses of bluebells too...
But be sure to follow the blue trail or you will miss most of these delights.
