I noticed that there was another Art exhibition on at Blackthorpe Barn. As we had Gran and Grandpa staying, I thought I would take them to see. This is the 7th year of the annual Artworks show. It features 30 East Anglian based professional artists and is on from Saturday 9th September to Sunday 1st October. It is open 11am - 6pm, daily. They also have a music evening on Saturday 23rd September at 7pm - "Mr Handel and friends".
The barn is a brilliant setting and there are some intriguing, clever and beautiful pieces of work on display (and for sale).
Although great for adults, the missus got a bit nervous about the little ones knocking over and smashing something glass and expensive, so they got taken outside after a bit. Here the girls found something to do...
Whatever are the looking at?
Yes, you've guessed it, they had found some blackberries. Rather more got eaten than collected, but we collected enough to stew up with Aunty Maureen's apples and have as a dessert with the meringue nests Gran had brought.
But where was Little W? Well someone took no notice of the sign "CAUTION Uneven surfaces" and this was the result...
"I'm not going back there again", he says.
