I had to try it. The local Safeway supermarket had kangaroo fillet steak for sale. Here's how it looked on my plate.
I looked good, but I didn't like it much. It had a very strong taste - a bit like venison crossed with liver in flavour, and was rather tough. I think I'll stick to the excellent Australian lamb and beef.

It does look like it'd be a bit rubbery. All springy and bouncy like a kangaroo, perhaps ;-)
